Bryce Canyon National Park

Distance from Escalante – 50 mi – map

Bryce Canyon Lodging doesn’t get any better than this. Bryce Canyon is famous for its worldly unique geology. Canyons are horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters carved from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The erosion over millions of years has shaped the colorful limestone rock of the Claron Formation into bizarre shapes, including slot canyons, fins, spires, and windows, called “hoodoos”. If your an avid hiker take the Navajo loop or Queens Garden hikes. Not into hiking enjoy the scenic vistas from multiple lookout points along the rim. Want a casual stroll at sunrise or sunset, then take the rim trail and be sure to bring your camera and tripod.
