Escalante Canyons 5K Fun Run

Race Day: October 14, 2023

PLEASE NOTE TIME AND COURSE CHANGES!!

The 5k Fun Run is a point-to-point race that will start at 12:00 p.m. up beautiful Pine Creek Canyon.  It runs mostly downhill, although there’s a short, steep uphill at about mile 2.2.  It will finish at Escalante City Park (same finish line as the Marathon and Half).

Every finisher will get a medal.  We won’t have separate t-shirts for this race, but you will find a marathon or half marathon t-shirt of the size requested in your race packet.

Although this is a fun run, we will post your time on our web site.  Your bib will include a chip, so your time will be automatically recorded.  Run fun and good luck!

Scooters, strollers, leashed pets, etc. are allowed.

Course Map:  We are in the process of revising the course map, below.  This year, the race will start up Pine Creek Canyon, as shown on the map below.  However, after you cross the Escalante River (it runs low this time of year!), you will proceed south, straight up 300 East to Main Street.  Main Street is Route 12, so the last few blocks will be on the marathon/half marathon course, and you will cross the finish line in the same direction as the long-distance racers.
